Side Effects of Acid Reflux DrugsAcid Reducer Generic Name(S): omeprazole magnesium Uses are used to treat certain and problems (such as ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid done. It relieves symptoms such as , difficulty swallowing and persistent . This helps cure acid damage in the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers and can help prevent esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of medications known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). If treated with this medication, free-sale omeprazole products are used to treat frequently (approaching 2 or more days a week). Since it may take 1 to 4 days to have full effect, these products do not relieve acidity immediately. For free selling products, carefully read the package instructions to make sure the product is suitable for you. Check the ingredients on the label even if you have used the product before. The manufacturer may have changed the ingredients. In addition, products with similar brand names may contain different ingredients for different purposes. Taking the wrong product could hurt you. How to Use Acid Reducer Read the Guide and Patient Information Leaflete if available from your before you start taking and every time you get a filling. Take this medication as indicated by your doctor, usually once a day, before a meal. If you are self-treatment, follow all directions in the product package. The dose and duration of the treatment are based on your medical condition and response to the treatment. In children, the dose is also based on . Do not increase your dose or take this medication more often than indicated. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Do not triture, break or chew this medication. Get the entire capsules. If you have trouble swallowing the capsule, you can open the capsule if it is not sealed and carefully sprinkle its content in a spoonful of soft and fresh apple puré. Trace the entire mixture immediately without chewing it. Then drink a glass of cold water to make sure you have swallowed the whole dose. Do not prepare the mixture before time for later use. Doing it can destroy the drug. If necessary, antacids may be taken along with this medication. If you are also taking sucralfate, take omeprazole at least 30 minutes before sucralfate. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time every day. Continue to take this medication for the prescribed duration of the treatment, even if you feel better. If you are dealing with the free sale product, do not take it for more than 14 days unless directed by your doctor. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or gets worse. If you are self-treatment, tell your doctor if you persist after 14 days or if you need to use this medication more than once every 4 months. The risk of side effects increases over time. This medication may rarely cause a serious bowel condition due to a bacterium called C. difficile. This condition may occur during treatment or weeks to months after treatment has been stopped. If you have these symptoms, do not use anti- or products because your symptoms may get worse. Rarely, proton pump inhibitors (such as ) have caused vitamin B-12 deficiency. Risk is increased if taken every day for a long time (3 years or more). Tell your doctor right away if you develop symptoms of vitamin B-12 deficiency (such as unusual, or numbness/hands/ feet). A very serious drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious , including: , /swelling (especially from the face / / throat), severe , , , signs of problems (such as change in the amount of urine). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. It is used to prevent and treat heart acidity and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach (acid indigestion). This medicine has been removed from the US market due to security problems. In some products of ranitidine a possible impurity has been found that causes cancer. How to Use To treat acidity and acidity indigestion, take 1 tablet with a glass of water as needed, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Get the entire tablet without chewing. Ranitidine can be taken with or without food. To prevent acidity and acid indigestion, take ranitidine 30-60 minutes before eating foods or drinks that can cause indigestion. Do not take more than 2 tablets within 24 hours unless directed by your doctor. Follow all directions in the product package. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Stop taking this medication and call your doctor quickly if your symptoms continue after you start taking it, or if they don't improve after you've been taking this medication for 14 days in a row.
